FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
Operating with our watches
Can I customize my watch?
All Paul Cliff watches can be personalized by changing the included strap. All watches are shipped with their matching strap as described in the product description. We also propose a series of straps which are compatible with our watches.
How do I change the strap on my watch?
The process is fairly easy and you don’t need to be a watch expert to do it.
For the Classic collection you will need to remove the leather strap first using a tool, and mount a new strap. Depending on the type of strap, classic or NATO mounting back the new strap will slightly change how you carry on this phase.
The Easy collection was built with NATO straps in mind so you can change the straps in the matter of seconds, it cannot be easier: slip off the strap, slip on another one. That’s it.
How do I take care of my watch?
Like any small and fairly fragile item you should take good care of your watch. All of our watches are waterproof. If you find it’s dirty you can simply wash the case with water and mild soap.
Shipping, delivery, returns
How much does shipping cost?
We will select the carrier (TNT, DHL, UPS, Fedex etc...) which gives the best quality of service depending on your country of residence. The price will of shipping will be shown at checkout and usually is less than 10 Euros in most of Europe. For example Italy shipping cost is 7 Euros.
Returns are free, we’ll send a carrier to your door to pick up the package at no cost for you.
I’m not fully satisfied, can I return the items I’ve bought.

All items returned need to be in perfect condition with stickers, unworn, just as you received them.
Who is responsible for customs duties?
Customer is responsible for any customs duty. We ship from within EU and VAT is already included in the price. For all countries outside of EU there might be the need to pay for customs duties import fees upon receival of the package. We’ve experienced so far very little import issues except with Russia.

How do I change the battery on my watch
We have chosen Quartz movements which offer the best balance between accuracy and cost. They require a battery to run which will last up to 5 years. Many factors can vary the time your battery will last. When the battery needs to be changed we recommend you carry out this operation with a professional watch shop. At a very low cost (5 to 10 euros including service) your battery will get running for another few years in a matter of minutes, to keep the watch waterproof it will need further proofing which will take a few days and cost slightly more.
